I Want To Know Why My Teeth Are Coming Loose And Why My Dentist Can’t Help Me?

Hello Dr Mitsas, I want to know what treatment I would need to take to stop my teeth from coming loose. Some of my teeth are loose and also missing. I want to replace them so that I can smile again. I am 28 year old and I do not know why this happening. I have visited some dentists and they do not know what I can do and don’t offer me any treatment. Please help me. I Have Got My Gingivitis Under Control But My Tooth Is Becoming Loose. Can You Help Me?

Hi Dr Mitsas. I hope you can help me. I had this gingivitis and I am going to my dentist very regularly. Every three months or so. There is no bleeding any more. I have one tooth which is looser than before. And now I am getting another one coming loose. My gums are not very healthy. I told my dentist and they said they are better than before. I have diabetes as well. I am only 55 years old. Is there anything else you could help me with? My diabetes is under control. I don’t take any junk food and I clean my teeth regularly and I don’t smoke. Thank you for your time.

I’ve Been On Anti-Depressants And My Gums Have Turned Milky White. Have You Heard Of This Before?

Hello Dr Mitsas. I’m having a bit of a problem, as ever since taking anti-depressants I have noticed that my gums are turning a milky white colour, only around the front of the mouth and they do bleed slightly. Can this type of medication have an effect like this on my gums? It just seems a bit of a coincidence that this is happening as I’m taking the medication. Is there anything you can suggest please? I’ve Recently Found Blood On My Toothbrush. Could This Be Down To My Heart Condition?

Hi Dr Mitsas, I have a condition known as SVT, so my heart beats to fast most of the time. The only real impact I believed it had on me was increasing my chances of fainting when feeling nervous or too excited but I’ve recently found blood on my toothbrush. I have always taken great pride in my teeth, and I have always attended check-ups etc, always taken such good care of them. Have you heard of this before? Can SVT cause gum disease? What would you recommend that I do. Thank you!

I Brush, Floss And Use Mouthwash. Yet My Gums Still Bleed. Can You Please Offer Me Some Advice?

Hi Dr. I always take very good care of my teeth and gums. I brush twice a day, I use mouthwash and I floss AND I use an inter-dental brush too! Yet, my gums have started to bleed. My last check up was a month back and the dentist said everything was fine. I don’t understand what the problem could be, I don’t drink or smoke. Do you think this could be a symptom of a medical condition? I’m very worried and I’m due to see my dentist next week but I can’t stop thinking about what it could be. I’ve conducted research on the internet and it’s talking about mouth cancer! Please can you offer me some advice? Thank you!

Hello there Dr Mitsas. My dentist has only just recently diagnosed me with gingivitis, and assures me that he can fix it. But he confused me when talking about the link between gingivitis and gum disease. Are they the same thing? Is having gingivitis the same as gum disease? I just want to know what I’m up against. I don’t really understand what he was saying so I thought I would get an expert opinion. If you could just provide some clarity on this situation I would be very grateful, Thank you in advance.

Hello. I have been told I have the initial stages of gum disease and was wondering what I can do for it? I have bought special toothpaste, and gargle with Listerene. I was wondering how long it’s going to last? I do not have bad breath with it, and I think I am currently doing everything possible to help it get better. My dad was 18 when he had it and lost all his teeth, so he had to wear dentures. What’s the cause of gum disease? And are there any complications that come with it? Thank you.

Hi Dr Mitsas. I know you may not know a lot about this but you’ll probably get this a lot so maybe you will! I have recently gone onto the contraceptive pill and since my gums have turned hard at the bottom and turned almost white in colour. They have been bleeding a small amount too. I don’t think this is a coincidence, it happened very shortly after I got my prescription. Can you please advise tell me if this is something you’ve come across before? Thank you for your time!

I Would Like To Know If Periodontitis Can Be Cured Or Not?

Hello Dr Mitsas. Are there any cures yet for periodontis? I was never told by my dentist that I had a problem until she informed me I had this disease. I was never told about gingivitis or any other problem and have been with the same dentist for 5 years. My teeth have bled whilst cleaning on occasions but not very often. I have only lost one back tooth and I am 65 years of age. I now visit a different dentist every three months or so for a clean, he has never x-rayed my mouth. I hope you can help.

Hello Dr Mitsas, I recently ordered a tooth whitening kit for use at home and it did say under side effects that my gums could become sensitive, which I anticipated. However, my gums are actually bleeding. But I do smoke, so do you think that this could be the reason as to why they’re bleeding? I just think it’s a bit of a coincidence that as soon as I begin whitening my teeth they start to bleed and I’ve never heard of this happening to anybody else before, what do you think?
