Can I do anything to instigate gum growth in order to reverse the effects of wobbly teeth?

Q.
hi, I have several loose teeth and was wondering what I could do to sort them out or whether or not I can? they are all the front teeth on the bottom. they feel wobbly but I don’t know if its just play in the teeth? how much play should there be in teeth? if indeed there is to much play then what can I do? I know enamel on teeth cannot grow back but what about gums? if they regenerate health and stimulate growth then surely the teeth if not to far gone will they be less wobbly? im booked in for an appointment at my dentist but im not on NHS any more so I had to wait until after pay day which is in 2 weeks so I was seeking a bit of advise in the mean time, any feedback would be brilliant! thanks a lot.

If your teeth are wobbly as a result of gum disease you need treatment to prevent further progression of the disease so that the remaining bone support is preserved. If the treatment is successful and you follow an adequate maintenance your teeth can be stable and healthy over the years even if they still remain moderately loose. If the mobility is uncomfortable or progressive despite having healthy gums you may need restorative treatment (splinting) to secure them. There are some specific situations when it is possible to regenerate part of the lost supporting tissues around a tooth but this is only successful in the best possible conditions, after assessment of favourable factors and only when it is carried out by very experienced clinicians usually at specialist level. You need a detailed examination of the current state of your gums and teeth to assess what is possible in your case.
