What can I do to save my teeth?

Q.
I have always had problems with gum disease from being a child, now that I’am older my dentist has said that my teeth are getting very loose and that maybe i should start thinking about getting them all extracted and false teeth fixed instead. Is it too late now to try and stop myself from loosing my teeth or should I start looking into false teeth and ammitt defeat?

Thanks for the question. There is too little information here to be able to advise properly. This is a clinical judgement call and irefully depends on a number of factors like how loose the teeth are, how much bone support is left around teeth and how many teeth you have left to name just a few of the factors.

I would discuss this with your dentist to check that there is nothing else that can be done. If that is the case then your options are Dentures or Dental Implants.

Good luck with your treatment which ever path it takes.
