A.
The history (fracture, root canal, extraction) and some symptoms (pimple, pain) suggest that your problem is probably unrelated to the health of your gums (gum disease) rather to a residual infection in the remaining front tooth affected by the accident or less likely in the extraction site. Flossing and using a mouthwash is not going to sort things out. If your dentist is not able to diagnose your problem after clinical and radiographic examination visit another dentist for a second opinion. You might need root canal treatment, surgical intervention or another extraction depending on the findings.
