Q.
my gums have been a bit sore and there seems to be a cut in my gum where it meats a tooth and it is causing a bit of soreness,
every so often when i brush there will be a bit of blood afterwards

is there anything i can do to make this problem go away ?

i am 20 years old and would like to know what could be causing this problem asap please
can you email back to let me know what you think

i brush ever morning and have started to use mouthwash after the gum started causing a bit of discomfort

A.
Gum bleeding is caused by inflammation. This happens as a result of local plaque accumulation and in some areas after traumatic tooth brushing (trauma). If you have “thin” gums, there are local factors that can add to trauma (ex. lip and tongue piercings). The buildup of calculus close to the gum can also irritate and traumatize thin tissue.
An antibacterial mouthwash for 1 week-10 days can be helpful, but I DO recommend you to see your dentist and have a proper exam and appropriate treatment.
