I have swelling and pain in my gums, help?

Q.
I know this isn’t strictly a gum ‘disease’ question but its gum related. I have pain in my lower gum at the front also the back of my gum is swollen and my teeth are sensitive. My gums have stared to rot and are coming away from my tooth and peeling away and my breath started to smell so i used mouth wash to try and it clear it up a little but the smell and rotting gums are still there . Can you please help as i had a friend who new some one and they got cancer in there jaw, please help
A.
You need to visit a dentist and have a clinical examination as soon as possible so that you are diagnosed and treated accordingly. Your problem may probably be gum disease but this can only be confirmed after thorough investigation of the state of your mouth to determine the extension and severity of the problem. The use of an antiseptic mouthwash may be helpful but insufficient.
