I have part dentures but my remaining teeth have started to bleed, I clean 4 times a day and can’t afford expensive treatment, what should i do?

Q.
Hello Dr, I have part dentures and i hoped to hang on to my remaining teeth but i have bleeding on my eye tooth, is this the end?  I clean 4 times a day and use mouthwash. I am mid sixties and cant afford very expensive treatment .I noticed the last time i went to my dentist to have the front tooth removed he didnt suggest cleaning. I did not like to ask as i went national health. I used to go private with the same dentist but my circumstances changed after 2 berievments and suddenly not working. Any advice would be great.

Hello, I think you should discuss this with your dentist. The NHS does cover some aspects of gum care and it is not too much to ask for them to clean it providing it has a good prognosis. Don’t feel that you cannot talk to your dentist just because they are NHS, I am sure that they would be happy to help.Hope this helps and thank you for your question, Regards, Ian
