Q.
Hi, i’m a healthy 22yr old female and I only ever brush my teeth once a day, i have a healthy diet, i don’t floss but i use mouth wash and so far the only problem I’ve had with my teeth (aside from braces in my early teens) is 1 filling when i was very young. but today without any see-able reason my gum started bleeding. it happened very suddenly when i was in work and there was no apparent reason for it. is this a symptom of gum disease?

Hi, thanks for your question – Spontaneous bleeding is not a good sign and I would ask your dentist to screen you for gum disease. Its very simple, takes less than 30 seconds and is not painful.Hope this helps, regards Ian
