I am sure that you have read through some of the previous questions and answers on this site. The important thing is that you are aware that you have a problem and are keen to deal with it. For Dentists and Periodontists one of the hardest things to do is to motivate the patient to do the appropriate home cleaning. In your case, you are presenting as a motivated patient, this gives you and the treating dentist the best chance of resolving the problems.

My advice, as always, is to speak to your dentist as soon as possible and if they are unable to help you, ask for a referral to a Periodontist. The sooner the proper diagnosis is made and the appropriate treatment started, the sooner the condition stabilises and the less bone support you lose.

Once you have stabilised the Periodontal Disease here are many things you can do to replace missing teeth or make existing teeth look better but it is essential that none of the cosmetic treatments are started until the gum health is secured.

It is understandable that you are concerned about your dental appearance and that these problems are getting you down, that said, the sooner you seek professional dental help for your problems, the sooner the teeth will be sorted and you will feel better about everything.

Good luck with everything and let me know if you need any further advice.
